In a career spanning over thirty years, Tony has spoken all over the world, with his craft talks on comics, film, TV and prose writing, having held stand-out workshops and lectures at events including the LONDON SCREENWRITER’S FESTIVAL, THE HOUSTON “COMICPALOOZA” COMIC CONVENTION, THE EDINBURGH LITERARY FESTIVAL, THOUGHTBUBBLE, THE NORTHERN CHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVAL, THE SAN DIEGO COMIC CON and both 20 BOOKS MADRID and 20 BOOKS LAS VEGAS, among many others.
In addition to this, Tony has lectured on screenwriting and craft at educational establishments such as BUCKINGHAM NEW UNIVERSITY, GOLDSMITH’S UNIVERSITY OF LONDON, WARWICK UNIVERSITY, THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA, UXBRIDGE COLLEGE and THE CENTRAL EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY in Budapest.
Among many other talks and workshops of note, he toured and lectured India as part of a British Art Council scheme, including workshops in MANIPUL UNIVERSITY in Jaipur, has taught storytelling around a Bedouin campfire in Wadi Rum, worked with THE SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW in Manchester, and has been the resident Graphic Novels and Transmedia storytelling lecturer at the RAINDANCE FILM SCHOOL for the last ten years.
